JOB REQUIREMENTS:
National Diploma / NQF level 6 in Finance or similar • 2-3 years in Financial Administration
or Finance clerical experience • B Com Degree – Finance/Accounting • 3 - 5 years of experience in accounts
payable environment or finance related field
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Acknowledges supplier invoices/ credit notes and check for correctness daily •
Verifies and approves/disapproves supplier invoices loaded on the system within 2 days of receipts from user
department • Liaises with departments to obtain complete documentation before processing payment vouchers
• Processes petty cash, employee related payments, cemetery/ events/ other refunds, capital expenditure
invoices and advances • Processes supplier invoices on the financial system within 48 hours of approval by user
department • Selection of the supplier invoices on the financial system and banking details a day before the
payment date & Create EFT batch on the financial system a day before the payment date • Checks that supplier
banking details of new suppliers are loaded on the system before selection process and complete the new form
or an amendment application form for any banking details • Check compliance and correctness of financial
transactions before submission to supervisor • Submission of payment batch with supporting documentation to
Supervisor 24 hours before for verification • Submit remittance advices to suppliers within 3 days after payments
• Retrieves documentation and filing during the regulatory audits within 3 days • Follows up on outstanding
supplier accounts due for payments by the 15th • Resolve outstanding supplier queries • Processes monthly
adjustments and accrual journals & Requests supplier statement by set date of every month • Prepares monthly
supplier reconciliation & Clears all long outstanding accruals monthly • Prepares & processes year-end accruals.
