Description
The purpose of the Clinical Manager is to manage, support and deliver on the overall management of mobile fleets implemented across 9 provinces, managing staff (Registered Nurses, Auxiliary Nurses, Campus Healthcare Workers and Psychologist) assigned to the mobile clinic/roving team and overseeing the implementation of services offered. In addition, responsible for training, mentoring, and debriefing Professional Nurses and Enrolled Nurses (Auxiliary).
Key Responsibilities
In close collaboration with the project management team, coordinate and lead the operationalisation of the mobile fleet to provide quality, integrated clinical services.
In close liaison with provincial coordinators, manage outreach plans and mobile timetable for service delivery of COVID-19, HIV/TB/STI, SRH including pregnancy and contraception, Gender-Based Violence, Mental Health, Substance abuse, and programmes at campuses.
Develop and implement a system for mobile clinic visits to campuses and clients.
Ensure clinical services are provided as per DOH policies and guidelines.
Provide supervision and support to the clinical staff (Professional Nurses).
Oversight over CHWs who provide HIV testing counselling and report to the professional nurses in terms of quality of care.
Contribute to team development, in collaboration with the project team.
Responsible for performance management of clinical staff.
Requirements
Master’s in Business Administration or Masters in Public Health
Added advantage as a Medical Doctor (MBChB)
5 - 10 years’ experience in public health with a focus on adolescents and young people.
Experience working in the NGO sector will be an added advantage
Knowledge and experience in clinical mobile fleet management
Knowledge and experience in stock management
Knowledge and experience navigating provincial and district health structures
Knowledge and experience in SRH, HIV testing, HIV prevention and management, ART, PrEP and PEP initiation and management; STIs, COVID-19 and related services
