An opportunity for an experienced Overhead Crane Operator in the Manufacturing sector

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate overhead cranes, hoist and other lifting equipment to handle metal/steel products in manufacturing, cutting,
storage or loading areas
Safely lift, transport and position metal sheet, packs and crates according to work orders and production
schedules
Inspect lifting equipment before use to ensure they are in good condition and meet safety standards
Load and unload delivery vehicle, carefully
Ensuring metal/steel product integrity and stability during movement
Monitor crane performance and report any defects, malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to maintenance or
supervision

Qualifications:

Grade 12/Matric,

2-3 years’ experience within the metal industry

Valid overhead crane certificate - 12.5 Ton or proven experience

Knowledge of lifting techniques

Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of crane operation maintenance
