Job Description:
Our client in Elliot is requiring a Dairy Farm Manager who will be responsible and accountable for all farm activities and the direct farm results to join their team.
Duties include but not limited to:-
*Milking function –oversee and monitor milking, machine and tank washing and ensuring the dairy management is operating
*Pasture – management of irrigating, farm cover, residual, soil and plant health
*Calf rearing and calving –manage a calving season
*Staff training, feeding, hygiene, growth rates , mortality rates and health
*Staff management - monitor and maintain staff management team
*Motivate, discipline, train and ensure farm efficiency
*Cow husbandry – cow comfort, condition, feeding, health
*Infrastructure and machinery - set maintenance schedules and oversee farm assets
*Financials - assist operator with financial, physical budgeting and monthly profitability.

Minimum Requirements:-
*Diploma in Agriculture or equivalent
*Minimum 5 years' dairy experience (including dairy management)
*Must be prepared to work overtime.
