Description of Responsibilities:
Day to Day:

Maintaining the club constitution and upholding its ethos
Bookkeeping:
Recording and maintaining all business’ financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.
Record financial data into general ledgers, which are used to produce the balance sheet and income statement.
Responsible for overseeing the first six steps of the Accounting Cycle.
Sars and municipal compliance (Vat, Workman’s comp, IRP5’s, income tax including half year submissions, reconciliations, rent and water and lights) is compiled and submitted on time, per monthly requirements, with documentation of proof.
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Recording of debits and credits
Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers.
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions.
Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.
Monitor any variances from the projected budget.

Creditors
Bookkeeping to trial balance
Bank recons
All Payments for SARS, Rent and Water and Lights are to be documented and paid accordingly.
Reporting all necessary figures to Gencom once a month
Restaurant, Bar and Lawn:
Cleanliness of the restaurant and bar areas.
Presentation of restaurant and bar areas, ensuring it is inviting and attractive.
The outdoor environment is attractive and clean.
Staff presentation and attendance.
Ensuring all relevant data is captured and accurate on the management systems, currently Jonas.
Relevant Skills and Knowledge:
Good accounting or bookkeeping knowledge
Understanding accounting best practices
Knowledge of IFRS, U.S GAAP, or another accounting framework
Data entry skills
High attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Produce work with a high level of accuracy.
Professionalism and organization skills
Associate degree or at least one year of experience
Knowledge of Jonas, POS Systems, Pastel, QuickBooks, or other applications
Ability to interact with the clients and members in a professional and courteous manner.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
A relevant Financial Diploma or Degree is required.
Driver’s License
Minimum 5 years relevant experience pertaining to position.
Salary R10,000 - R12,000 depending on skills and experience.
