Full Stack .Net Developer

 

We are recruiting for a UK-based client, who is looking to hire South African staff based in Cape Town. Our client is a specialist group of companies, providing a unique service of financial benefits to contractors and corporate clients. The chosen candidate will start at the Cape Town offices, and this will change to a remote/work from home arrangement when the client feels they are ready.

 

Position Overview

 

As part of a growing Development team, the .Net Developer will be required to help further advance our internal systems, in addition to working on our exciting new client-facing platform, which will integrate with both our internal financial systems and third-party systems and will provide our variety of financial services products to our client base via website and smartphone applications.

 

The position will cover the full stack with a mostly agile approach to project and system development with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

Resource Management

 

Deliver to defined timelines in order to meet business requirements

Supporting and training other team members

Working with Senior Lead Developer and work within project timelines and budgets

Communication

 

Provide feedback to management of potential improvements to existing procedures and systems

Work as part of a system and wider team to achieve the departmental standards and objectives

Work effectively with other departments within the Group to maintain excellent standards of service

 

 

Knowledge

 

Take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed performance objectives

Support colleagues and team members with professional problems, working to help them to resolve any issues

 

 

Background / Experience Required

 

Essential:

 

Minimum 4 years .Net (.Net 4+, C#, Web API, ASP.Net MVC)

Minimum 2 years Vue.js (React or Angular would also be considered)

Minimum 4 years CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery, html 5

SQL server knowledge

Design Patterns, N Tier Architecture, Testing, Agile principles

Great communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Experience working in Agile development environments

Experience of interacting with key business stakeholders
