General Warehouse Assistant – Packing & Dispatch (Wine Distribution)

Location: Muizenberg Cape Town

Job Summary

The General Warehouse Assistant supports day-to-day warehouse operations within a wine distribution environment. The role involves
picking, packing, and dispatching wine orders accurately and efficiently while
ensuring safe handling, stock care, and timely delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Pick and pack wine orders according to order lists and delivery schedules
Prepare orders for dispatch, including labelling, wrapping, and palletising
Handle wine cases and bottles carefully to avoid breakage or damage
Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
Check orders against delivery notes and report any discrepancies
Assist with receiving goods and placing stock in designated locations
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
Follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines
Support stock rotation, inventory checks, and general warehouse duties

Skills & Experience

Previous warehouse experience.
Ability to perform manual handling and lift cases of wine safely
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and physically capable
