About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Representative to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and that all employees and contractors maintain a safe working environment.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices within the construction or industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Enforce company Health & Safety policies and procedures across all work areas.

• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inductions.

• Maintain and update safety documentation, incident registers, and risk assessments.

• Report and investigate any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.

• Liaise with site management, contractors, and external service providers on all HSE matters.

• Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous awareness and training.

• Must be able to compile a Health and Safety file based on the scope of work per project

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.

• SHE Rep, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (essential).

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within construction or industrial environments.

• Strong understanding of OHS Act and related regulations.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Must be available for the full contract duration (3–6 months).

Remuneration

• Market-related (based on experience and qualifications).
