A vacancy exists for a Housekeeping Supervisor who will be based at Life St George’s Hospital reporting to the Services Manager, Julia Frost.

The primary focus of this position will be to assist in achieving quality standards within the services department through sound administrative practices, data capturing and organisation of housekeeping and laundry services.

Critical Outputs
To ensure interdepartmental liaising to provide efficient housekeeping services to the hospital wards.
To communicate effectively and timeously to resolve queries and complaints.
To provide administrative support to the Services Manager in relation to data capturing, invoicing, reports and diary management.
Basic supervision of housekeeping personnel.
To supervise all laundry, catering, waste and hygiene management for the hospital.
Effective management and distribution of linen to all wards.
Stock take of linen to be done as required.
Neatness and cleanliness of linen store rooms.
Accurate record keeping and assistance in hospital audits.

Requirements

Grade 12 - Matric certificate required
Computer proficiency required (MS Office)
SAP System experience would be advantageous
Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills
