Description
A vacancy for an Laundry Manager exists in the Montana Laundries (Inland) branch based at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre, Parktown (Mediclinic), Gauteng. Contract for the following position:
Start - Immediately (1 March 2025)
Minimum gr 12
A minimum of 2 years of middle management experience in a production/services-related field
JOB COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Comprehensive understanding of services/products that the company
delivers
In-depth understanding of the supply and demand chain
Understanding of labor relations, grievance and disciplinary procedures
and the ability to expedite relevant actions/measures
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage the day-to-day business,
staff and operations in the laundry effectively
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage customer relations
Ability to implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure
on-time delivery in full at all times
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and control physical
resources including but not limited to people, equipment and facilities
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and control financial
resources and the engagement of these economic resources
Ability to plan, lead, organize and control staff and resources
Ability to effectively and efficiently measure and manage the
productivity and the operating costs of all areas under his / her control
Ability to evaluate staff performance on a 3-month basis as and when
required
Ability to analyze, optimize and improve the overall performance of the
equipment, staff and production processes
Ability to identify equipment/machine-related problems and ensure
appropriate actions are taken
Ability to compile, distribute and submit all relevant reports as and
when required
Ability to monitor and maintain stock levels regularly as and when
required
Ability to effectively manage the performance of staff including the
discipline staff when required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English both in verbally and in writing
Proficient computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and
company-related software system
Must have own transport and valid driver’s license
Must be able to work shifts, weekends,overtime and Public Holidays when required
