Job Description:
Our client within the manufacturing industry, based in Durban, seeks to appoint an experienced Logistics Admin Assistant to join their team. The successful incumbent will be required to Facilitate daily activities to ensure, Meeting of department targets on key focus areas, Departmental compliance to legislation and standards & Adherence to company procedures and policies Job Duties Document & Equipment Maintenance Controls • Document creation, disposal, revision control and maintenance • Maintenance of document storage drives and Master Record Index • Facilitate the calibration and inspections of equipment as required • Maintain equipment registers Audits and Calendars • Maintain audit schedules and compliance calendars • Facilitate timeous and accurate completion of all internal and external audits • Timeous preparation of all requirements to ensure successful internal and external audits • Facilitate within the respective internal departments to ensure readiness for all audits Data Capture, Reports & Communication • Capturing of department information • Daily/monthly reporting on department focus areas • Communication with all internal and external stakeholders to facilitate completion of departmental tasks • Compiling daily reporting of Logistics KPIs. • Capturing of injury information when SHERQ officer is unavailable • Generate necessary statistical reports as requested General • Follow up/track level of accomplishment of action items derived from agreed action plans between Logistics and other departments and suppliers. • Liaise with all stake holders to ensure timeous achievement/completion of all matters relating to company compliance on agreed legislation/procedure/risk and other key focus areas • Perform any other duties within the logistics department as assigned • Record, document and publish meeting minutes Requirements • Matric, Admin qualification – advantageous • Minimum 4-5 years in an administrative position with experience as per above duties (in a manufacturing or related environment) • Extremely competent in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
