Job Functions Research
The Incumbent would be required to conduct content research and market analysis to produce insights impacting the channel’s performance.
-Complying with work rules, standards and methods.
-Taking care to minimize waste.
-Identifying and providing feedback on cost saving initiatives within areas of control.
2.Capture Quality Data
-Obtaining information, check for accuracy and capture data.
-Filing documents per procedure.
-Receiving research requests from the Researching Manager or producers to obtain insights on certain requests.
-Performing content research, analysis and interpretation for e.tv, Platco and e.sat regarding their target markets, content selection, scheduling trends, and interactive media
environments providing insights to strategic decisions impacting the channel’s performance.
-Conducting competitor analysis to stay abreast of competitor and movements.
-Conducting research to support production team’s requirements and to evaluate the impact of their projects and programmes.
-Presenting findings to stakeholders, educating and providing insight about the SA Media Landscape.
-Understanding the needs of the organization to ensure that research is tailored and relevant to deliver valuable insight.
-Providing reports on advertising effectiveness and audience trends across the groups.
-Distributing research results reports.
A relevant qualification within Marketing , Statistics and/or Relevant Media Studies
A minimum of 3 years experience
