Description

Fixed Term Contract vacancy exists for an Occupational Health Nurse (40 hours per week), based in Rosebank and reporting to the Key Account Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering accurate reviews and assessments of identified high risk employee’s exposures and health hazards in the workplace.

Critical Outputs
Interpretation of completed medical assessments
Provide occupational health related recommendations to the employer and employees on managing exposure risks
Working closely with the LHS team, service providers and client stakeholders.
Support to the client’s operational key contacts in the implementation and management of medical surveillance programmes and safety initiatives.
Communication with employees regarding their own risk exposure and job function
Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and the clients
Ensuring adherence in meeting strict targets as per client instructions
Ensuring the total satisfaction of our clients through continuous improvement and added value

Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

Qualifications in General Nursing
Occupational Health Nursing B Tech/ Diploma with minimum of 10 - 15 years’ experience in a practical Occupational Health setup
Registration with SANC.
At least 1 year experience in virtual and telephonic consultations.
Computer literacy essential, strong working knowledge of computer technology with experience in working on SharePoint, Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications.
Knowledge will be tested during the interview process
Ability to work independently
Candidate may be required to work remotely at times and must have their own internal connectivity, capable of, at least 30Mbps upload and download speeds
Certificate in Competency:
Spirometry
Audiometry certificate and registration as an Audiometrist with SASOHN
Vision screening
Ideally, the candidate should have experience in administration and employee relations, good communication skills
Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs will be most suitable for this position.
