Description

MyRide Group owns a number of franchise and pre-owned dealerships,

located in the Western Cape and Gauteng, as well as other ancillary companies

to the motor industry.

 

 

 

 

 

The group requires the services of an accountant to be based at its head

office is Paarl. The position will be responsible for the financial accounting

of one or more entities in group.

 

 

 

The ideal candidate has an accounting qualification (SAIPA articles would

be an advantage) and experience as an in-house accountant for at least 2-3

years.

 

 

 

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

 

 

Oversee the work of the junior accountant

 

 

 

Checking and loading all payments, and processing the bank account

 

 

 

Preparing all relevant reconciliations

 

 

 

Responsible for month end close, journals and preparation of monthly

management accounts

 

 

 

Various reporting

 

 

 

Overall responsibility for all financial and administrative matters pertaining

to the entities

 

 

 

Ad hoc reporting for the group

 

 

 

Ad hoc assistance to the Financial Director and Group Financial Manager

 

 

 

Potentially grow into and assume a more senior role with responsibility

for more entities

 

 

 

 

 

Depending on the relevant experience and qualifications of the

candidate, and the level the person is appointed at, the salary may range

anywhere from R25 000 to R28 000, Total Cost to Company.

 

 

Own transport is essential and the ideal candidate will reside within

reasonable driving distance of Paarl.
