Smokey Joe Sauce and Spice Manufacturing company, based in Stikland, Bellville, is looking for a Spice Mixer/Machine Operator to join their team.

Job Description:

Blending of spices and operating various machinery.

Responsibilities:

- measure and mix spices according to recipes

- operate spice mixing machinery and other equipment

- ensure that the spices are accurately weighed and labelled

- monitor the quality of the spices being mixed

- clean and maintain the spice mixing area and equipment

- follow safety guidelines and procedures while working

- record and maintain production data and inventory levels

- collaborate with other team members to meet production targets

- assist with general work in the factory when needed

Requirements:

- experience in spice mixing or related field

- knowledge of different spices and their uses

- ability to measure and mix spices accurately

- attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality control

- physical ability to lift and move heavy bags of spices

- good communication skills and ability to work in a team

- willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

- understanding of health and safety regulations in food handlings and processing
