Job Description:

 

Our national client from the manufacturing industry seeks a dynamic Trainee Team Leader to join their Durban team. This would be a means of adding capacity to the Production Team, and is aimed at allowing someone who has a minimum of an N6 or is in the process of studying towards this qualification to step into a Designate role while studying, and learning the role at the same time.  Assisting with the day to day leadership of the team

 Maintaining efficiencies of 85% or higher

 Managing the ISIR process from start of new mould to final sign off

 Ensuring that adherence to all safety standards are followed

 Ensuring housekeeping is above 90% for the factory and packing areas

 Assisting with Maintenance and Mould changes as required

 Process Optimisation and recipe creation for new products

 Ensuring all moulds are serviced as per annual service schedule

 Leave relief in the Shift Setter space when needed

 Ensuring we produce excellent quality packaging that meets specifications

 Ensuring excellent housekeeping

 Assisting with moral management and technical training of Setters and Operators

 Other ad hoc duties as required by PM or OM To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following criteria:

 A minimum of an N6, ideally a Btech or BSC Engineering qualification

 At least 2 years’ technical experience in a production environment

 Highly motivated and ability to motivate and lead others

 Proven technical/mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills

 Self-disciplined, enthusiastic, and a strong team player

 Have a positive “can do “attitude

 Able to work shifts or weekends when required
