VACANCY: ACTING WORKSHOP MANAGER
Technical knowledge of the trucking industry and associated operations
Diagnose and provide solution to mechanical faults
Ability to co-ordinate repairs for a busy Fleet operation
Effectively manage the time of the team
Ability to lead and motivate the team
Handle cross border breakdowns
Communicate effectively with the team
Co-ordinate roadside breakdowns and work in the yard (24H-Standby)
Conduct regular inspections on the trucks and machinery to assess working order
Co-ordinate van maintenance and issued equipment to the highest standard of care
Establish ways to improve productivity
Record accurate job cards/fleet inspections and associated paperwork to company standards
Keep up to date with industry trends
Must be in possession of a valid driving license
Day shift
Overtime and call outs
