A company based in Isando is looking to employ a Workshop Manager, responsibilities include :
Give strategic input and guidance to members of
the team, keeping everyone aware of developments within the company, and
ensuring that all workshop strategies are applied to meet the companies mission
and objectives
Drive profitability, labour sales, productivity
and efficiencies in line with set targets
Execution of everything in the workshop from
operations, pricing and everyday running
Communicating cash flow concerns or requirements
Managing SLA`s with both suppliers and customers
Ensuring compliance with SHEQ controls and
requirements
Manage staff and ensure that tasks are completed
on time and correctly
Ensure all systems for maintenance and repairs
are adhered to and the correct information is given for capturing
Ensure the company policies and standard
operating procedures are adhered to
Manage and lead all workshop staff, ensuring a
healthy, conducive and disciplined working environment
Client liaison and interaction with internal and
external stakeholders
Schedule and co ordinate technician’s activities
and allocation of work
Weekly / Monthly reports
Final approval of quotations, pricing and
invoices
Ensure quality controls and standards are
implemented
Deliver against set performances and quality
targets
Candidate Requirements
Must be a qualified diesel / petrol mechanic
with proven track record in managing a team and workshop
Technical and working knowledge (pneumatic,
hydraulic and mechanical) on vehicles especially on heavy duty and specialized
vehicles
At least 5 to 10 year’s experience in managing a
large team of workers
Able to assess repair process and provide
accurate repair times and costs
Ability to carry out major unit repairs
Valid drivers licence and own transport
