WCED Grade R Maternity Post (22 Sept 2025 to 22 Jan 2026)

REQUIREMENTS:

- Professional teaching qualification - BEd Foundation Phase / Bachelor Degree + PGCE (specialising in Foundation Phase teaching);

- 3 + years experience teaching Grade R;

- SACE certification;

- Driver’s license required, PDP advantageous;

- Police clearance;

- The ability to teach in a diverse multi-cultural environment.

SKILLS AND DUTIES:

- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans, both written and spoken.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills;

- A genuine passion for working with children

- Basic classroom management and child safety skills;

- Must be able to use E-Learning in the classroom and be able to use one or more of the following media communication platforms: Microsoft Teams; Zoom; Google Meet;

- Participation in the School’s sport, culture and fund-raising programmes;

- To work after hours and on weekends when required;

- To perform other duties that may be assigned to them.
