Description

The Department of Student Administration in the Directorate of Office of the Register seeks to
appoint an Administrator: admissions/counter position. This is a one year fixed-term contract
based at Giyani Campus.
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a standardized
application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of
qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the
candidate. Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other
selection instruments. Applicants who previously applied are encouraged to reapply.
Kindly note that these positions are open exclusively to Limpopo Province residents
therefore, applicants primarily residing in the said Province will be given priority.
Critical Performance Areas
To provide effective and efficient assistance with under – and post graduate data processing
• Handle client enquiries at the counter
• Handle telephones application and registration enquiries
• Provide accurate information
• Supply the correct forms on request of the client
• Refer more serious queries or complaints to the administrators
• Update basic information e.g., change of address on the ITS
• Receive forms and reports from students and channel it through to the relevant
administrator
• Capturing data
• General office tasks as delegated by the senior administrator
• Open student files
Minimum Requirements
• NQF level 4 National Senior Certificate or equivalent
• Two (2) years academic administration experience
• Good communication skills/Basic Computer Literacy
