Description
A vacancy exists for an Application Support Specialist based at Life Healthcare in Dunkeld, reporting to the Application Portfolio Manager for Group Function and Shared Services. This is a hands-on operational position responsible for supporting Shared systems and applications in the portfolio, serve as the custodial “owner” and subject-matter expert for the applications/systems in this portfolio, supporting: the day-to-day use, performance and maintenance of the applications/systems, changes, improvements and enhancements to the applications/systems and involvement in all projects.
Critical Outputs
Provide subject-matter expertise and knowledge regarding Group and Shared Function systems/applications, to all role players, and provide user support as required, in liaison with the IT Service Desk, Contact Centre and all Technology Services
Monitor and assess the extent to which the systems functionalities, performance, etc. meet/satisfy user requirements
Manage Service level delivery according to agreed and signed off SLAs
Manage vendor SLA and IT to Business SLA contract renewals.
Investigate incidents and problem reports regarding the systems and assist with problem resolution
Ensure required maintenance requests are logged and implemented with little/no disruptions to business.
Know Systems landscape and ensure that this is monitored and optimized
Document interdependence between systems and other related systems & processes and optimize to ensure business stability
Manage 3rd Party escalation
Support users
Manage any network, server or hardware issues with the relevant teams
Ensuring Data Security, Privacy and Governance procedure and guidelines are followed and updated.
Participating in project as and when needed
Delivery of IM Services in the following functional areas:

Requirements
Qualifications (required):
National Diploma in an IT direction (or busy with)
ITIL v4 certification
Experience:
3-5 years’ direct experience in managing IT systems.
At least 5 years related work experience.
2-3 years’ experience in analyzing and defining business requirement specifications.
Operational experience in a corporate channel environment.
Basic understanding of ITSM will be advantageous
Experience in Moodle or another Learning Management system is a must
Knowledge of other Shared Services applications will be advantageous.
Project Management and Business Analyst knowledge and work experience will be advantageous.
