Job Summary
Established workshop seeks a qualified senior Diesel Mechanic with 10+ years’ experience on heavy commercial trucks. Strong multi-brand fault-finding skills required. Experience on petrol light commercial vehicles is advantageous.
Requirements
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal preferred) - Must show papers
• Minimum 10 years heavy truck experience
• Multi-brand experience (Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Isuzu, Hino, UD, etc.)
• Strong diagnostics & fault-finding
• Ability to work independently/manage a team
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 14 / 10 advantageous)
• SA citizen or permanent resident with legal right to work
Duties
• Service & repair heavy trucks and trailers
• Engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension & electrical repairs
• Preventative maintenance & fleet inspections
• Assist with petrol light commercial vehicles when required
