Job Summary

A leading furniture manufacturer in South Johannesburg is hiring a Junior Factory Manager to support daily manufacturing operations, team supervision, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Production: Assist with scheduling, monitor output, and resolve bottlenecks.
Supervision: Lead staff, provide training, and manage discipline.
Safety: Enforce safety policies, conduct audits, and investigate incidents.
Quality: Maintain product standards and implement corrective actions.
Maintenance: Coordinate machine upkeep to minimize downtime.
Improvement: Support lean manufacturing initiatives and process optimization.
Reporting: Track KPIs and prepare daily/weekly production reports.

Experience and Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12

Experience managing people
Enforcing staff discipline
Proficient in Excel
Good maths skills
Good understanding of production line manufacturing, line balancing, time studies and workflow analysis.
