MAINTENANCE MANAGER / MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

AJ Onsite Brick & Block – Manufacturing & Construction Materials Industry

AJ Onsite is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the reliability, upkeep, and continuous improvement of our plant, machinery and equipment.

This is a proactive role for someone who believes in preventing breakdowns rather than simply repairing them. The successful candidate will develop and implement maintenance systems that improve equipment uptime, reduce operating costs, and increase overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
Manage maintenance of manufacturing equipment, plant machinery, vehicles, and supporting infrastructure.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential failures before they occur.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff and external contractors.
Maintain maintenance records, service schedules, and equipment histories.
Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrading of equipment.
Minimum Requirements

Trade qualification (Millwright, Fitter, Electrician, Mechanical Technician, or similar).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
Experience with manufacturing, construction, or industrial equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
Ability to lead a team and work independently.
Valid driver’s licence.
Advantageous

Experience with batching plants, mixers, conveyors, compressors, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Knowledge of maintenance management software.
Strong planning and project management skills.
