Description

The Print Shop is hiring a Retail Sales Assistant for our copy centre - the busy walk-in heart of our Durban North shop. This is a hybrid role: half front-of-house sales, half hands-on production. You'll greet customers, take their brief, knock up a quick design, run it through our digital presses, finish it, and have them out the door with their job in hand.

If you're the kind of person who likes being on your feet, juggling three customers at once and getting things printed NOW, this is the role. If you prefer sitting at a quiet desk, this isn't it.

This is a 6-day-week role with weekend hours: regular Saturdays and rotating Sundays.

Must-have

- 1+ year retail sales / customer-facing experience

- Basic graphic design - comfortable in CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Illustrator

- Comfortable working WITH PEOPLE - friendly, patient, helpful under pressure

- Comfortable working WITH YOUR HANDS - operating machines, feeding paper, finishing, lifting reams; you'll be on your feet most of the day

- Comfortable working UNDER PRESSURE - multiple customers, tight deadlines, all happening at once

- Available to work weekends (Saturdays + rotating Sundays)

- Based in Durban / able to commute to Durban North daily

Advantageous

- Previous copy-centre or print-shop experience

- Cash-handling / point-of-sale experience

- Knowledge of standard finishing - lamination, binding, cutting, mounting

Pay: R6,000 - R8,000 per month (market-related, depends on experience)
