Job Summary
Our client, a well-established automotive workshop in Bellville, Cape Town, is seeking a hands-on and reliable Assistant Mechanic / Repair Shop Assistant (RSA) to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist qualified mechanics with daily workshop tasks
• Support in diagnosing vehicle faults and basic repairs
• Remove and refit vehicle components (brakes, clutches, gearboxes, etc.)
• Perform basic servicing (oil changes, filters, fluid checks)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop
• Handle tools and equipment responsibly
• Assist with vehicle inspections and road testing when required
• Ensure all work is carried out according to safety standards

Requirements

• Previous experience working as an Assistant Mechanic / Workshop Assistant
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and workshop procedures
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must NOT be red seal qualified
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Physically fit and able to handle manual work
• Must reside in Bellville or surrounding areas (no relocation will be considered)
