Description
A position has become available for a committed individual to join the hospital as a Stock Controller for Theatre, reporting to the Pharmacy manager.
Critical Outputs
Participate in the management of stock inventory in the unit.
Responsible for maintaining stock and dead stock as per agreed level.
Coordinating and participating monthly as well as quarterly stock take as well as investigations of the variance report.
Investigation of weekly reports, negative stock and outstanding orders
Liaise with nursing staff and ward clerk regarding queries and timeous follow up on back orders and out of stock items.
Ordering of stock from pharmacy.
Ordering of stock from outside companies.
Receiving stock from pharmacy and unpacking of stock on shelves.
Bin maintenance.
Maintaining shelves of store room
Managing cost of sales within scope of practice
Responsible for queries regarding patients accounts
Responsibility for the management of consignment stock in the theatre complex which includes patient billing, invoice billing and accountability for patients appearing on the DNFB account
Requirements
Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Life Healthcare systems (SAP, iMeds and Impilo) will be an advantage.
Must have grade 12
Working knowledge of proficiency in Microsoft specifically Excel.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Precise and meticulous in work.
Able to work under pressure.
The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Available for duties on weekends and public holidays if required. Flexi time as required by the Unit
