Description

Job Purpose:

To manage the storage, handling, and distribution of parts and related materials efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper stock control, cleanliness, safety, and timely reporting in alignment with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Receive, inspect, and store parts and accessories in an organized manner.

Maintain accurate inventory records using stock management systems.

Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or irregularities.

Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles are followed to avoid ageing stock.

Receiving & Dispatching:

Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.

Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of parts to branches/ customers.

Stock Reconciliation:

Conduct regular stock counts
(daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile differences.

Assist with internal and external audits.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed logs of inwards/outwards stock movements. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management. Ensure all store records are filed and accessible when needed.

Safety & Housekeeping:

Always maintain cleanliness and safety of the store.

Ensure parts are stored properly to prevent damage or safety hazards.

Comply with company and legal safety standards and procedures.

Team Coordination:

Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams for smooth operations.

Supervise store helpers and ensure compliance with work schedules.

Requirements:

Education:

Matric certificate or equivalent (National Certificates (N1–N3) and National N-Diplomas (N4–N6) via TVET colleges,
University Diplomas is advantageous).

Experience: 2-4 years in a similar role, preferably in the trucking industry.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of inventory systems and storekeeping best practices.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to lift and move heavy items.

Basic computer literacy
