Responsibilities

Develop and implement innovative drama curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to students’ individual abilities, including those in special education settings.
Lead rehearsals, workshops, and performances that showcase students’ talents and promote active participation.
Mentor students in creative writing, acting techniques, stagecraft, and performance skills to nurture their artistic growth.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to integrate drama into broader educational projects such as journalism or literacy initiatives.
Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
Organize auditions, production schedules, and logistical arrangements for theatrical events throughout the academic year.
Provide constructive feedback on student performances, assist with proofreading scripts or written assignments, and support their overall development in communication skills.
Maintain organized records of student progress, attendance, and production documentation to ensure smooth operation of all drama activities.
Skills

Proven experience mentoring students in creative arts or performing arts disciplines.
Strong background in journalism or storytelling techniques that enhance theatrical narratives.
Familiarity with special education strategies to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs.
Experience tutoring in subjects such as math or other core areas to support holistic student development.
