Description

We are seeking a strong operational leader with proven experience in an industrial/commercial laundry environment who understands the demands of high-volume laundry production, quality control,
workflow management and staff supervision.

THE ROLE

The Production Manager will be responsible
for overseeing the day-to-day production operations of our industrial
laundry facility, ensuring that linen, garments and workwear are processed
efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and coordinate daily laundry production activities

• Plan production according to client requirements and delivery schedules

• Supervise, manage and motivate production staff

• Monitor production volumes, turnaround times and productivity

• Ensure correct sorting, washing, drying, finishing, folding and packing
processes

• Maintain consistent quality standards throughout the production process

• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues

• Ensure effective utilisation of machinery, equipment, labour, water,
chemicals and other resources

• Monitor chemical dosing and laundry processes in conjunction with operational
requirements

• Ensure compliance with SANS, HACCP, health & safety and company
quality procedures

• Monitor hygiene and contamination-control procedures

• Implement and maintain efficient production workflows and SOPs

• Reduce wastage, rework, damage and unnecessary production costs

• Conduct daily production checks and maintain accurate production records

• Work closely with Operations, Drivers, Client Services and Management

• Assist with staff training, performance management and disciplinary processes
where required

• Ensure production targets and service-level requirements are consistently
achieved

• Drive continuous improvement across the production environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager / Production Supervisor in an industrial or commercial laundry

• Strong understanding of industrial laundry processes and equipment

• Experience managing production teams in a high-volume environment

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict turnaround times

• Good understanding of quality, hygiene and safety requirements

• Computer literacy and ability to complete production reports

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Valid driver's licence would be advantageous

• Industrial garment and linen processing

• Workwear / PPE processing

• RFID or garment tracking systems

• Laundry chemical dosing systems

• HACCP / food-industry laundry requirements

• ISO 9001 quality management systems

• Production planning and KPI management
