Our private hospital client in Cape Town is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (High Care) to become a vital part of their High Care team, contributing to the provision of safe, Quality, Patient Care.

This position is relevant for Registered Nurses working in High Care or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings.

Proficient in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Mentor and train junior staff and students

Conduct educational rounds with trainees

Skilled in administering oral medications

Experienced in wound care management

Flexible team player in a multidisciplinary environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Requirements:

Must hold current SANC registration as a Registered Nurse

Post Basic Qualification in Critical Care General is a plus

Requires minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience

Essential to have ventilator competency

Availability for shift work is mandatory

Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Flexibility to assist in other departments is required

Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities

Excellent communication and teamwork skills needed

Commitment to patient care and safety is essential
