CCTV Operator/Controller: Umlindi Group : Johannesburg

We’re looking for an experienced, alert CCTV Operator to monitor our surveillance systems and support our control room operations.

Minimum requirements

• Valid PSIRA registration, Grade C minimum (Grade B preferred)

• CCTV Controller certificate

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CCTV operator in a control room environment

• Matric (Grade 12)

• Clear criminal record and ability to pass vetting

• Strong observation skills and the ability to stay focused during long shifts

• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and reliable incident reporting

• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and identify suspicious or unauthorised activity

• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, and dispatch response teams

• Keep accurate occurrence logs, shift reports and incident reports

• Retrieve and securely store footage when required

• Report faulty cameras or equipment

• Maintain confidentiality and follow all site procedures
