Prexoz Engineering is seeking a motivated, skilled, and hardworking Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join our growing technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Note: All shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a practical technical assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems including Split Units, VRF, Air Handling Units, Chillers, Cooling Towers, and Package Units
• Preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs
• Accurate completion of job cards, service reports, inspection reports, and bills of material
• Planning, coordination, and execution of work including delegation where required
• Review and interpretation of drawings, layouts, and routing (electrical & mechanical)
• Troubleshooting of refrigeration circuits, electrical controls, VSDs, and electromechanical components
• Compliance with safety standards, hazard identification, and risk assessments
• Ability to work independently and lead a team when required
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel outside Gauteng when necessary

Minimum Requirements
• N3 Qualification (Electrical or Mechanical / Electromechanical)
• Trade Test Certificate (Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC)
• SAIRAC / SARACCA Authorisation
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong experience in VRF, Chillers, AHUs, refrigeration units, and electrical controls
• Solid understanding of refrigeration and HVAC systems, components, and failure analysis
• Competent in the use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic welding
• Ability to read drawings, write sketches, and take accurate measurements
