Bakery in New Germany Seeking Baker
The Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to company recipes and quality standards. The role ensures consistent product quality, freshness, and presentation while maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Baking & Preparation
Prepare and bake breads, rolls, pastries, cakes, muffins, and other baked products.
Measure and mix ingredients according to standard recipes.
Ensure baked goods are produced consistently in quality, taste, and appearance.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve the correct results.
Production Planning
Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings in advance of service.
Ensure daily production levels meet demand.
Assist with planning baking schedules.
Stock Control
Monitor baking ingredients and notify management when supplies are low.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).
Minimise ingredient waste and maintain portion control.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards.
Ensure baking equipment and work areas are clean and sanitised.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as a baker or in a bakery environment.
Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation.
Ability to follow recipes accurately.
Good time management and organisation skills.
Attention to detail and consistency in product quality.
Early morning shifts may be required.
