Job Summary

Trailers and Tankers (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced and competent Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our team.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and take responsibility for the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions up to Trial Balance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of VAT and South African tax requirements
• Able to complete bookkeeping up to Trial Balance
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Supplier processing and reconciliations
• VAT calculations, reconciliations and preparation of VAT returns
• General ledger processing and reconciliations
• Processing of purchases, expenses and journals
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting queries
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines

EXPERIENCE:

Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience is essential. Applicants must have practical experience working with Xero, Excel, VAT and Trial Balance preparation.
