Description

We are seeking an experienced, professional and highly responsible CCTV Control Room Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of a busy CCTV Control Room based at the Isando Foods site.

The successful candidate must be a strong leader with excellent CCTV surveillance, reporting, staff management and client liaison capabilities. This position requires a hands-on manager who can maintain high operational standards while ensuring that all incidents, risks and irregularities are identified, investigated and escalated appropriately.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

PSIRA Grade A valid and registered

Minimum 5 years' relevant CCTV / Security Control Room experience, with proven supervisory or management experience

Must have a clear criminal record

Must be medically fit

Must reside within close proximity to the Isando Foods site or surrounding areas

Own reliable transport will be advantageous

Excellent computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel reporting skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience compiling daily, weekly and monthly management/KPI reports

Proven experience in staff management, supervision, performance management and discipline

Labour relations and disciplinary process experience will be highly advantageous

Experience developing, implementing and enforcing SOPs, work instructions and control-room procedures

Proven staff training, coaching and competency assessment experience

Strong CCTV surveillance, incident detection and investigation skills

Ability to review CCTV footage and compile professional investigation and incident reports

Understanding of camera systems, recording systems, camera health checks and footage retention

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities

Must be willing to work flexible hours when operationally required

Must be contactable and responsive via WhatsApp/telephone after hours for operational escalations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing CCTV Controllers and Supervisors

Managing staff attendance, rostering, leave, punctuality and operational coverage

Ensuring continuous and effective CCTV monitoring of the site

Identifying and escalating security, safety, operational, production and loss-control risks

Conducting CCTV investigations and preparing accurate incident reports

Ensuring incidents are reported and escalated within the required timeframes

Monitoring staff performance and ensuring compliance with company and client procedures

Conducting training, refresher training and staff competency assessments

Developing and maintaining CCTV SOPs and operational procedures

Maintaining accurate incident registers, camera checklists and operational records

Monitoring camera faults, blind spots, recording failures and system-related risks

Compiling professional Excel reports, statistics, trends, dashboards and management summaries

Identifying incident trends, recurring risks and operational vulnerabilities

Liaising directly with and reporting to Client Site Management

Attending operational, security and management meetings when required

Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding CCTV footage, investigations and client information

Ensuring the Control Room remains professional, secure and audit-ready at all times

Managing operational escalations after hours where required
