An upmarket fine dining restaurant in Cape Town is looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team. This is a high-standard environment where the quality of your work genuinely matters.
You will own your section with confidence, producing consistent, precise food at pace. Working closely with the sous and head chef, you will play a key role in maintaining the kitchen's reputation for quality during both prep and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Running your section efficiently during prep and service
Producing dishes to the restaurant's standard with attention to detail and consistency
Assisting with mise en place and ensuring your section is always ready for service
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Supporting and guiding commis chefs on your section
Communicating clearly with senior chefs during service
Contributing to a kitchen culture built on discipline, respect, and quality
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum 2 years experience as a CDP in a fine dining or upmarket restaurant environment
Solid understanding of classical techniques and modern plating standards
Ability to work cleanly and efficiently under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and professional
A genuine interest in food and a desire to grow in a quality-driven kitchen
Culinary qualification preferred but not essential with the right experience
Salary: Market-related, dependent on experience.
