Join a team of exceptional legal professionals who will provide you with guidance and mentorship as you grow within this position. This legal firm based in Durbanville, is seeking to permanently employ an experienced & detail-orientated Conveyancing Secretary (Transfers) to their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling both conventional property transfers and development-related conveyancing matter from inception through to registration. Minimum of 4 – 5 years’ experience within a similar role.

Responsibility:

Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

Managing property transfers from instruction to final registration at the Deeds Office
Handling both conventional transfers and development transfer matters
Drafting and preparing all conveyancing documentation and correspondence
Liaising with clients, estate agents, banks, bond attorneys, municipalities, and the Deeds Office
Attending to FICA compliance and ensuring all supporting documentation is obtained and filed accurately
Requesting rates clearances, levy clearances, transfer duty receipts, and bond cancellation figures
Coordinating the signing of documents with buyers and sellers
Monitoring progress of files and ensuring that all deadlines are met
Attending to lodgements, registrations, and resolving Deeds Office queries where necessary
Providing regular feedback and progress updates to clients and relevant stakeholders
Managing multiple conveyancing files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Education:

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
Secretarial diploma / paralegal qualification to your advantage
4 - 5 Years of experience as a Conveyancing Secretary
Solid experience with conventional property transfers is essential

Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English) with good communication and interpersonal skills (public relations)
