Looking for a Cost Accountant for a client.

Location: Durban, KZN

The successful candidate will be responsible for factory/plant accounting, including but not limited to:

- Maintaining and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Cost control and cost allocation
- Inventory analysis and valuation
- Variance analysis and reporting
- Preparation of management accounts
- Costing and profitability analysis
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting
- Identifying and investigating cost variances and trends
- Providing financial insights to support operational decision-making

Industry preference: Candidates with experience in food, spices, sauces, chemicals, or similar manufacturing environments will be preferred, particularly those with strong exposure to production costing, inventory, BOMs, and factory operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong manufacturing/plant accounting experience, with a solid understanding of costing, inventory, production processes, and financial controls.
