Crane & Hoist Technician (Electrician /Millwright / LMI)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Crane & Hoist Technician and a Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (L.M.I.) to join our newly established Cape Town branch. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individual with strong technical ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal – Electrician or Millwright)
Registered L.M.I. registered with ECSA in multiple disciplines
Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence

Experience & Skills:

Proven experience working with overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment
Experience in inspection, maintenance, and load testing of lifting equipment
Strong knowledge of:
Electric motors and control gear
Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
Electrical panel building and fault finding
Machanical repairs on geared motors, brake assemblies and hoist repairs

Good organisational and planning skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of reliability, professionalism, and attention to safety
