Description
A vacancy exists for a Credit Controller, based at Life Knysna Private Hospital, reporting to Helena Muller, Patient Services Manager.
The successful candidate should have strong business acumen and the ability to coordinate, implement and sustain the credit control process through empowering and influencing.
Critical Outputs
Ensuring accurate and efficient administration of the credit control function at hospital level
Ensuring all accounts are followed up in accordance with the working protocols.
Managing all COID admissions to hospital, and loading them onto the Department of Labour website
Managing all Private accounts on hospital level, and securing sufficient funds to manage the financial risk, print the report daily and give feedback to PSM
Managing all insurance accounts, securing Letter of Guarantee and/or sufficient funds while patient is still in hospital.
Managing the refund processes.
Assist with pre-payment estimates for acute and planned private admissions.
Oversee and manage the filing and safe keeping of documents and patient files at hospital level. Ensuring adherence to the POPI act.
Assisting with the admission process of PVT, COID and foreign patients to ensure correct carriers are applied.
Managing of fixed fee and procedural arrangements on tariff agreements for specialists {Carrier changes}.
Develop sound relationships with both internal and external customers including patients, Insurances, doctors and private patients.
Compliance with working procedures and quality requirements.
Assist in Reception/Admission when needed
Requirements
Qualification – Grade 12
Credit control experience will be an advantage
Experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage
Ability to work within a pressurized environment is critical.
Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
Computer proficiency.
Ability to work Monday to Friday on a non-shift roster.
