About the Role

We are looking for a mature, responsible and experienced Hardware Distribution Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our distribution centre.

This is a hands-on, self-sufficient management position requiring someone who can take ownership of the warehouse, stock, sales, customers, staff, deliveries and general administration.

Requirements

3–5+ years' experience in the hardware industry

Previous management or supervisory experience

Hardware sales experience and strong product knowledge

Natural leadership and strong people-management skills

Business-minded with excellent problem-solving abilities

Mature, trustworthy, reliable and responsible

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Good communication and customer-service skills

Computer literate with experience in invoicing and administration

Good knowledge of Johannesburg and surrounding delivery routes

Physically active and comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Own reliable transport

Must live within a reasonable distance of Stratum Park, Randburg

Key Responsibilities

Overall management of the warehouse and distribution centre

Stock control, receiving and dispatching of goods

Preventing stock losses and ensuring warehouse security

Managing hardware sales and customer enquiries

Managing the company WhatsApp sales line

Invoicing, filing and general administration

Supervising and scheduling the delivery driver

Planning delivery routes and managing daily deliveries

Monitoring vehicle maintenance

Opening and closing the premises

Managing staff attendance and daily operations

Ensuring the warehouse is clean, organised and running efficiently
