Purpose of the Role:

To ensure the safe and timely delivery of parcels to clients, while also assisting with general loading duties and completing vehicle checks and relevant documentation. The role combines professional driving with general worker responsibilities to support smooth delivery and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Duties

Operate a Code 14 vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently.

Ensure timely deliveries to client sites as scheduled.

Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain cleanliness and proper care of the vehicle.

Loading & Offloading

Assist with the loading and offloading of parcels at warehouse and client locations.

Ensure items are securely packed and handled with care.

Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline loading processes.

Vehicle Checks & Records

Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Report any mechanical issues immediately.

Complete and maintain vehicle checklists and delivery registers.

Record all deliveries, collections, and relevant client acknowledgements.

Client Site Responsibilities

Present professionally when interacting with clients on site.

Ensure delivery paperwork is completed and signed.

Follow all client protocols while on their premises.

General Worker Duties

Assist with general tasks in the warehouse when not driving.

Support housekeeping and maintenance activities.

Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Valid Code 14 Driver’s License with PDP.

Minimum 2 years driving experience (preferably in logistics or deliveries).

Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Good communication and record-keeping skills.

Working Conditions:

Must be willing to work overtime or weekends if required.

Work involves both driving and physical/manual tasks.
