Marsh Memorial Homes, a Child and Youth Care Centre in Rondebosch, Cape Town, is seeking to appoint a responsible, hardworking and reliable Driver / General Worker to join our Facilities Department.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the safe transportation of children to and from schools, appointments and
activities, while also assisting with general maintenance, estate duties and
related operational tasks on the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid unendorsed South African Driver’s Licence

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

• Matric certificate

• At least 8 years’ driving experience

• Proven safe driving record

• Basic mechanical knowledge

• General maintenance and DIY ability

• Good knowledge of Cape Town roads and surrounding areas

• Ability to work with children and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport children safely and punctually

• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks

• Assist with general estate maintenance and labour tasks

• Assist with cleaning and upkeep of vehicles

• Carry out duties as instructed by the Facilities Manager and Principal

Applicants must be willing to work at the annual Marsh Memorial Homes fete held on the first Saturday of November each year.
