Location: Johannesburg & Lenasia preferred
Position: Part-Time | Fully Remote
Remuneration: Paid Monthly Stipend

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated, organised Part-Time E-Commerce Assistant to help launch and manage a new online store. Ideal for a university student interested in e-commerce, marketing, business or entrepreneurship.

Practical knowledge of setting up and managing a basic online store is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ONLINE STORE MANAGEMENT
• Help set up and manage the store.
• Upload products and update descriptions, prices and stock.
• Process orders, assist with fulfilment and track deliveries.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Respond professionally to customer enquiries.
• Assist with product, order and delivery queries.

DIGITAL MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA
• Assist with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok marketing.
• Create content ideas, captions and promotional posts.
• Research trends, sales opportunities and competitors.

PRODUCT RESEARCH & SUPPLIERS
• Identify trending products and sales opportunities.
• Source local and international suppliers.

ADMINISTRATION
• Maintain order records and spreadsheets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled at a recognised university or tertiary institution.
• Preferably studying Marketing, Business, Entrepreneurship, E-Commerce or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of setting up and managing an online store.
• Understanding of order processing and customer service.
• Familiarity with social media and digital marketing.
• Good computer, communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Own laptop and stable internet connection.

Previous e-commerce, product upload or supplier sourcing experience is an advantage.
