FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Job Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Financial
Accountant to take responsibility for the Company’s full finance function.

The successful candidate will independently manage the complete accounting cycle using Xero, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance and effective financial controls.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

BCom Accounting, BCompt or equivalent accounting qualification.
Completed SAICA Articles.
3–4 years’ relevant accounting and auditing experience.
Proven experience managing a full accounting function independently.
Experience in preparing monthly management accounts and supporting annual financial statements.
Sound knowledge of VAT, customer and supplier reconciliations and cash flow management.
Practical experience with Xero or a similar accounting system.
advanced excel skills.
studying towards Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting (CTA) would be advantageous.
industry experience: experience in the fuel, petroleum,
energy, wholesale or other high-volume trading environment will be
advantageous, but is not essential. strong commercial accounting experience gained in another industry will be considered.
