About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and well-experienced Fleet Controller to join our operations team in Atlas Gardens, Cape Town.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, route optimization, driver management, and logistics administration within the South African transport sector.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Fleet Operations: Monitor and manage daily vehicle movements, routing, and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Driver Management: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, handling briefings, debriefings, route queries, and performance monitoring.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with national transport regulations, road safety standards, company policies, and legal requirements.

Maintenance & Tracking: Track vehicles via telematics systems, coordinate scheduled services, and manage vehicle breakdowns or emergency repairs promptly.

Administration: Maintain accurate logs, manage trip sheets, and handle operational reporting efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications

Proven working experience as a Fleet Controller within the logistics or transport industry.

In-depth knowledge of Cape Town and regional South African transport routes.

Strong proficiency in fleet tracking/telematics software and MS Office.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the capacity to work well under pressure.

Valid South African ID and relevant qualifications/experience.
