HANDYMAN POSITION AVAILABLE

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and versatile Handyman to join our team.

The ideal candidate must be more than just someone who is good with
tools. We are looking for a person who can work independently, take
responsibility, communicate well and manage jobs from start to finish.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be practical, hands-on and confident using tools
Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Worker
Must be able to perform a variety of general maintenance, repair and construction-related tasks
Ability to identify problems and find practical solutions
Must be able to work independently and take responsibility for assigned work
Good organizational and management skills
Must be able to communicate with clients and other team members professionally
Valid driver's license is essential
Must be able to drive and travel to different job sites when required
Must be able to speak, read and write both Afrikaans and English
Previous experience working on commercial, residential or maintenance projects will be an advantage
Previous references for similar work are essential
Must be reliable, punctual and take pride in the quality of his work
Must have a good attitude and be willing to assist with different types of work when required

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

General building and maintenance work
Repairs and alterations
Steelwork and basic fabrication
Drilling, cutting, grinding and installation work
Basic carpentry
Painting and preparation work
General property maintenance
Assisting with electrical and plumbing-related maintenance where competent and legally permitted
Installation and repair of fixtures, fittings and equipment
Attending to maintenance problems and finding practical solutions
Assisting with site preparation and project work
Driving to suppliers and job sites when required
Keeping tools, equipment and work areas clean and organised

EXPERIENCE & REFERENCES

Previous references are very important. Applicants must be able to
provide contact details for previous employers or clients who can confirm their experience and the type and quality of work performed.

We are looking for someone who can be trusted to represent the company
professionally when working at client premises.

REMUNERATION

The hourly rate will depend entirely on experience, skills and ability.

Starting rate: R65.00 – R80.00 per hour
