About the Role

The FIXHUB is looking for an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Handyman to join our growing network of service professionals. This is a Independent contractor position, ideal for someone who enjoys flexible working hours while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of home and business maintenance, repair, and installation tasks. As a representative of The FIXHUB, professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general repair, maintenance, and installation work at residential and small commercial properties.
Complete tasks such as hanging doors, installing shelves, repairing fixtures, replacing locks, assembling furniture, mounting televisions, repairing drywall, painting touch-ups, silicone sealing, and other general handyman services.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during, and after each job.
Accurately report completed work, materials used, and any additional maintenance issues identified.
Take clear before-and-after photographs where required.
Represent The FIXHUB professionally and uphold the company's reputation for quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years' proven experience in handyman, property maintenance, or general building repair services.
Valid South African driver's licence.
Valid South African Identity Document or a valid work permit authorising employment in South Africa.
Clear criminal record.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Ability to understand and communicate effectively in Afrikaans.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Good written reporting and documentation skills.
Trustworthy, honest, and dependable.
Punctual with strong time-management skills.
Able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends when required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physically fit and capable of performing manual work safely.
