What the job is

You will clean different areas of the hospital, like wards, corridors, and kitchens. You will also handle waste and keep the environment hygienic. The job includes working shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

What you will do

- Clean floors, walls, windows, doors, and furniture.

- Remove litter and waste following hospital rules.

- Clean refrigerators, microwaves, and other equipment.

- Wash dishes and utensils in wards.

- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.

- Clean up spills quickly to prevent accidents.

- Refill supplies like soap and toilet paper.

- Collect and deliver patient meals and prepare tea.

- Handle clean linen and complete daily checklists.

- Report any problems or hazards to your supervisor.

- Follow infection control and safety rules.

What you need

- Grade 10 (Matric is not required but is a plus).

- Experience in cleaning, especially in a hospital, is helpful but not required.

- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

- Good communication skills.

- Ability to work alone or in a team.

- Physically fit to handle tough cleaning tasks.

- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

- Honest, reliable, and responsible.

- Knowledge of infection control is a plus.
